Celebrating 90 Years!

The Berea Fine Arts Club, Inc. is celebrating 90 years of empowering art awareness and appreciation in the community. The club was founded in 1933 at the historic Little Red School House located at 323 E. Bagley Road in Berea, Ohio. This same location is considered our club's "home," our meeting space, our learning space and our event space to this day.

We are a 501(c)4 non-profit organization that continues to fulfill the club's official mission statement (quoting the club's constitution)..."to further the study and development of the fine arts and to promote and encourage an interest in the cultural life of the community" 90 years later.

Our club is a creative outlet for local artists in Berea and surrounding areas - a place for artists to network with fellow artists, share and learn artistic skills and techniques with each other, and encourage others to explore and appreciate the fine arts. There are opportunities for artists to gain exposure while spotlighting their work via several venues - art shows, displaying at our Gallery, teaching classes, demonstrations, our website member gallery and many more! Partnering with local community groups such as the Berea City Club, the Berea Kiwanis Club and the Berea Library opens doorways to volunteer, engage and reinforce the important benefits of the arts in our community.

We encourage you to stop by our Gallery 323, located at the Little Red School House, and attend one of our many art shows and community events throughout the year. Refer to our event calendar for a detailed list and visit our website regularly.for the latest news. Support local artists and support our club, and together we can support our community.


 

How Does My Donation Help?

Your donation will help The Berea Fine Arts Club, Inc. continue to provide the following:

  • Encourage art appreciation while promoting community development
  • Provide a network of creative collaboration for local artists and students
  • Offer a gallery and exhibition space
  • Organize art shows and events
  • Educational art classes for all ages and abilities
  • Annual scholarship awarded to a high school graduate pursuing a career in the visual arts
  • Kids summer art camp and Halloween event
  • Space rental opportunities

About Berea Fine Arts Club

The Berea Fine Arts Club is a non-profit organization that provides a creative outlet for artists in the Berea and surrounding areas. Our club is a great place for artists to meet other artists, participate in area shows, and network within the community. We invite you to join us!

The BFAC was originally founded in 1933. The object of the organization was to further the study and development of the fine arts in the community. Today, the BFAC continues to bring the arts to the community by sponsoring several art events each year. We also encourage the next generation of artists by awarding a scholarship each year to an outstanding art student from the Berea School District.

The BFAC has a diverse membership of professionally trained artists and talented amateurs from throughout the Cleveland area. Our members include painters, potters, photographers, metal smiths, glass artists and jewelry makers. If you are an artist, we encourage you to join our organization. We are dedicated to the enhancement of your artistic skills and opportunities. Membership gives you a chance to network with other artists and to enjoy discounts on the various shows that we hold throughout the year. Our shows are among the most reasonably priced fine arts shows in the area, and will provide you an outlet for displaying and selling your work.

The club meets twelve times a year, always on the second Wednesday of the month. We usually meet at 7:00 P.M.  Be sure to check our calendar for exact dates, times, and meeting location.
